Finland bans Russians from entering EU through country

Citizens of Russia with a short-term Schengen tourist visa won't be able to enter the countries of the EU through Finland, reads the message of the Finnish Foreign Ministry, SİA informs referring to foreign media.

At the same time, Russian citizens were allowed to transit through Finland to states that are not members of the EU, as well as to leave the EU through the Finnish-Russian border.

Russians permanently residing in the EU, citizens of the European Union and members of their families will not be subject to restrictions, with the exception of the transit of Russian relatives of EU citizens through Finland.

In addition, seasonal workers with a short-stay visa, businessmen (since July 10 without the right to transit to other EU countries) arriving for treatment, as well as Russians who can justify the need to stay in the EU with a good reason, will be able to enter Finland.
