Wagner Group leader Yevgeny Prigozhin released a voice message on Saturday claiming that his forces crossed over from Ukraine into Russia and are entering the city of Rostov, SİA reports citing Teletrader.
"The border guards greeted us and hugged our fighters," he claimed, warning that "if anyone gets in our way, we will destroy everything."
Prigozhin's immediate plans are currently unclear. On Friday, he alleged that the Russian military launched an attack on Wagner from Rostov, which was denied by the Russian Defense Ministry. Local reports suggested that security measures in Rostov have been strengthened.
