Measures on ensuring reliable protection of the state border and the fight against illegal migration are underway, the Press Service of the State Border Service told SİA.
On June 21 at 01:30, as a result of the joint operation and search measures carried out by the employees of the State Border Service and the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Eyvazov Elgun Namig, a resident of Lankaran district born in 1986, was detained while violating the state border from the Islamic Republic of Iran in the direction of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the service territory of the "Horadiz" border detachment of the Border Troops.
Amiri Majid, a citizen of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, born in 1995, was detained while violating the state border from the Islamic Republic of Iran in the direction of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the service territory of the "Goytepe" border detachment of the State Border Service at 07:00 on the mentioned date.
Operative-investigative measures are being continued on the mentioned facts.
