Turkish Defense Minister Hulusi Akar expressed gratitude on Thursday to representatives of the parties to the grain deal for their efforts to extend it by two months, SİA informs via TASS.
"The term of the Black Sea Grain Corridor under the leadership of our President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has been extended by two months. We express our gratitude to the UN representatives, Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu and Infrastructure Minister of Ukraine Oleksandr Kubrakov, who maintain close ties with our ministry in implementing an important initiative to ensure the global demand and needs for food," he tweeted.
