At least 51 elementary school students in the western city of Yao, Osaka Prefecture, have been hospitalized after a suspicious smell resembling household gas was detected at the school, SİA informs via Kyodo agency.
The agency reported nearly 47 victims earlier.
All children are conscious and the severity of symptoms is insignificant. Rescue and emergency services continue to work on the spot, trying to determine the source of the smell. According to the preliminary version, there could have been a gas leak.
