Armenia didn’t comply with court decision on detention of persons inciting ethnic hatred against Azerbaijanis
Azerbaijan has filed interstate lawsuits against Armenia through various international platforms and courts, Deputy Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan Elnur Mammadov told journalists.
"One of these lawsuits was filed with the International Court of Justice in September 2021 on the basis of the 1961 Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Racial Discrimination,” he said.
The deputy minister noted that in September of the same year, an appeal was filed in parallel with the court to ensure provisional measures, that is, to satisfy the claim.
In October 2021, the appeal and petition were considered, and in December of the same year, one of the petitions was granted regarding the detention of persons and the suspension of the activities of groups and organizations that encourage ethnic hatred against Azerbaijanis in Armenia.
However, the Armenian side has not yet implemented this court decision.
