. France and NATO are not in a state of war with Russia, a French Foreign Ministry spokesperson has said.
"As we have repeatedly said, we are not in a state of war with Russia. NATO partners are not fighting with Russia. Escalation is observed only on Russia’s part," the spokesperson told reporters at a briefing on Thursday.
The remarks came as a response to Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova, who slammed French President Emmanuel Macron’s words on aircraft deliveries to Kiev not leading to escalation as 'absurd.'
