UN: 7,000 civilians killed, over 11,000 injured since start of war in Ukraine

Since February 24, 2022, about 7,000 civilians have been killed in Ukraine and more than 11,000 have been injured, UN Under-Secretary-General for Political and Peacebuilding Affairs Rosemary Anne DiCarlo said at the meeting of the UN Security Council, SİA informs.

According to DiCarlo, OHCHR confirmed 18,096 civilian deaths and injuries. Of these, 6,952 were killed and 11,144 wounded.

She noted that the real numbers are likely much higher. DiCarlo also added that millions of people have fled their homes.
