The Sheki city-district police department on Saturday received information about a resident of the Okhud village, Jumay Salamov, born 1981, being injured as a result of a rifle shot and his death on the way to the hospital.
According to the results of the preliminary investigation, Jumay Salamov was a passenger in the "UAZ" car driven by his brother at the time of the incident, SIA refers to APA.
While recklessly handling the shotgun, Salamov accidentally shot himself and died from the injuries he received as a result of the gunshot.
The police and prosecutor's office officers inspected the scene of the incident, as well as the corpse, and performed other procedural actions.
Investigations are ongoing in the case.
