As part of a cooperation agreement with the International Islamic Academy of Uzbekistan (IBA), five graduate students of the university will study at the Azerbaijan Theological Institute (ATI). During the visit, OBIA staff will give seminars for AII students, the AII press service told SIA.
Rector of AII Agil Shirinov met with the guests and said he was pleased to see them at the university. The rector gave detailed information about the activities of the Institute, the goals and objectives. He said that admission to bachelor's, master's and doctoral levels is carried out by the state order at the higher education institution.
Emphasizing the quality of education at AII, A. Shirinov noted that the subjects taught here are taught by professionals in their field, who can speak fluently in Arabic and English. The rector of the AII then noted that the new building of the university was commissioned. Noting that President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev personally attended the opening, Shirinov stressed that special attention and care was paid to state-religion relations in our country.
Navruzbek Abdullajonov, Head of the Department for Work with Foreign Students of OBIA, and Prof. Dr. Nilufar Batirova, Prof. Dr. Mokhira Abdullayeva, professors of the Academy, gave detailed information about the educational institution they represent. During their speeches, they said that it is very important for our students to have an internship at AII within the framework of mutual cooperation. The guests invited AII students and teachers to have an internship within the exchange program at OBIA.
It should be noted that one of the goals of the AII is to achieve global recognition of higher education. In this regard, the Institute establishes relations with world-renowned universities in the field of theology, signs memoranda and agreements on bilateral cooperation. At present, under the cooperation agreement, AII students continue their studies in the field of theology at foreign universities.
