On August 16, a memorandum was signed between Deputy Prosecutor General Heydar Mammadov and Rector of that educational institution Elbrus Isayev on behalf of the partners on the joining of Nakhchivan State University (NDU) to the project "Strengthening the environment through awareness and law enforcement measures" (ECOLEAD). SIA reports that the General Prosecutor's Office informed about this.
It was noted that the purpose of the memorandum signed between the General Prosecutor's Office, the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources and Baku State University on May 24, 2024 was to investigate illegal acts committed against environmental protection, prevent violations of the law in this area, collect sharing of knowledge and information, expansion of cooperation relations in order to perform their functions more promptly and efficiently within their powers.
