Ali Asadov meets participants of OTS central bank council meeting

Azerbaijani Prime Minister Ali Asadov met in Baku with participants of a meeting of the Council of Central Banks of the Organization of Turkic States.

SİA informs, citing the Cabinet of Ministers, that the meeting emphasized the importance of the council's session and expressed confidence that the event would contribute to strengthening cooperation between the financial sectors of OTS member states and increasing the role of central banks in this process.

It was noted with satisfaction that cooperation between OTS member states, based on mutual trust and common interests, is developing successfully in various areas.

The meeting emphasized that special attention is being paid this year, as part of Azerbaijan's chairmanship of the OTS, to further expanding ties in the economic, trade, investment, transport, energy, financial, humanitarian and other fields.

The sides also discussed consistent reforms carried out in Azerbaijan to modernize the financial and banking sector, as well as results achieved in improving the quality of financial services, increasing transparency and strengthening the stability of the banking system.

The meeting also discussed prospects for developing cooperation in the financial and banking sector within the OTS.
