The US Energy Information Administration (EIA) has maintained its forecast for Azerbaijan's daily oil production in 2026.
According to SİA, citing the EIA's Short-Term Energy Outlook (May edition), Azerbaijan's oil output this year is expected to remain at 540,000 barrels per day, the same figure as the previous month's projection.
For the second quarter of 2026, production is forecast at 540,000 barrels per day, unchanged from April's outlook. In the third and fourth quarters, output is expected to decline slightly to 530,000 barrels per day, again consistent with the previous forecast.
By comparison, in 2025, Azerbaijan's oil production stood at 570,000 barrels per day in the first and second quarters, and 560,000 barrels per day in the third and fourth quarters. Overall, the country's liquid hydrocarbon production averaged 570,000 barrels per day in 2025.
