Azerbaijan and China have held discussions on cooperation in the field of sustainable urban development, SİA informs, citing the State Committee on Urban Planning and Architecture of Azerbaijan.
The talks took place between Anar Guliyev, the State Committee Chairman, and China's Ambassador to Azerbaijan, Lu Mei.
During the meeting, both sides emphasized the high level of existing strategic partnership between Azerbaijan and China and exchanged views on prospects for cooperation in various areas, particularly urban planning and infrastructure projects.
One of the main topics of discussion was the upcoming 13th session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13), which will be hosted in Baku.
Guliyev noted that WUF13 is one of the most important global platforms shaping the future of sustainable urban development. He welcomed China's active participation in the Forum and highlighted the potential contributions of its government officials, academic circles, and private sector representatives to global urbanization processes.
