Global conflicts pose serious obstacles to international exports, Elchin Amirbayov, Representative of the President of Azerbaijan on Special Assignments, said at a panel discussion at the 5th Antalya Diplomacy Forum, SİA informs.
He emphasized the significant advantages of the Middle Corridor in this context.
"We are thinking not only about trade, but also about peace in the South Caucasus. Conflict has persisted in our region for decades. Today, we live de facto in peace with Armenia, and this opens up new opportunities," he noted.
Speaking about the opportunities that peace with Armenia brings, Amirbayov highlighted connectivity, including the Zangazur Corridor, a large-scale project: "Once the Zangazur Corridor is completed, new opportunities will open up. This project will not only ensure unimpeded communication between the mainland of Azerbaijan and Nakhchivan, as well as between Armenia and Azerbaijan, but will also become an alternative route for transport connectivity and trade between Asia and Europe."
