PM Asadov: Azerbaijan's trade with Turkic states grows over 5% in 2025

Azerbaijan's total trade turnover with the member countries of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) increased by more than 5 percent to $7.3 billion, Azerbaijan's Prime Minister Ali Asadov said at the second meeting of the Heads of Government/Vice-Presidents of OTS member states, SİA says.

According to him, further expansion of trade and investment ties among the member countries of the organization is of particular importance:

"In recent years, a positive dynamic has been observed in this direction. Last year, Azerbaijan's total trade turnover with the member countries of the Organization of Turkic States increased by more than 5 percent [$7.3 billion]. The total volume of investments made by Azerbaijan in member states is $21 billion."

Asadov also noted that joint investment funds established with a number of partner countries serve to expand mutual investment in priority areas and further strengthen economic cooperation:

"However, our existing potential is far greater than the mentioned indicators. Increasing mutual trade turnover, promoting investment projects, deepening industrial cooperation, and expanding cooperation in the fields of agriculture, digital economy, small and medium entrepreneurship, innovation and high technologies will enable the full realization of our economic potential."
