According to the report, a similar issue was already discussed during negotiations between Washington and Tehran in 2025.
At that time, in addition to agreements in the nuclear field, the matter of the Iranian government granting the U.S. access to rare earth metals, as well as oil and gas, was discussed.
CNN's sources suggest that this issue is expected to be brought up again.
It is noted that a new round of negotiations between Iran and the U.S. is scheduled to take place in Geneva on February 17, with Oman acting as a mediator.
