Dr. Kamran Beydullayev performs liver and kidney transplantation surgeries at the Central Customs Hospital, as well as surgeries of the gallbladder and bile ducts, pancreas, stomach, small and large intestines, proctologic procedures, hernia repairs, surgeries for endocrine gland diseases, and adrenal gland operations. These procedures are carried out using both open and laparoscopic approaches.

Dr. Kamran Beydullayev performs donor surgeries in living-to-living kidney and liver transplantation using both laparoscopic (minimally invasive) and open techniques. In February 2025, he successfully performed a donor organ procurement surgery from a deceased donor for the first time in Azerbaijan, marking another significant milestone in the country’s medical history.
Currently, at the Central Customs Hospital, kidney and liver transplantation surgeries are successfully carried out within the framework of the Mandatory Health Insurance Service Package, both from living donors to living recipients and from brain-dead deceased donors to living recipients.
After graduating with honors from Azerbaijan Medical University in 1996, Dr. Kamran Beydullayev completed his internship in surgery. From 2002 to 2007, he worked as a surgical resident at Prince Nasir Bin Saad Al Sudairi Hospital in Saudi Arabia.
In 2007, after successfully passing the required examinations, he obtained the General Surgery Diploma from the Royal College of Surgeons of England. In 2008–2009, he underwent specialized training in organ transplantation in İzmir, Turkey.
Between 2007 and 2018, Dr. Kamran Beydullayev worked as a surgeon in the Organ Transplantation Department of a private medical institution. Since 2018, he has been continuing his professional activity as a transplant surgeon in the Department of Surgery and Organ Transplantation at the Central Customs Hospital.
He has participated in numerous scientific conferences with poster presentations and scientific reports and is the author of nearly 20 scientific articles. He is a member of the European Society for Organ Transplantation and the Middle East Society for Organ Transplantation.
It should be noted that, for the first time in Azerbaijan, a liver transplant from a deceased donor was successfully performed at the Central Customs Hospital for Manzar Sharifova (born on 12 October 2002), who was suffering from liver cirrhosis caused by Hepatitis B and Hepatitis D and had no living donor.
In addition, two articles co-authored by Dr. Kamran Beydullayev have been published in the reputable journal “Transplantation Proceedings”, issued by the renowned U.S.-based publisher Elsevier. He was also the first in the CIS region to perform donor surgery laparoscopically in pediatric liver transplantation.
