Gold prices hit new record above $4,400 per troy ounce

Gold prices have reached another all-time high, surpassing $4,400 per troy ounce.

On the evening of December 18, gold rose 0.92% to $4,401.9 per troy ounce, before accelerating further to $4,407.5 by 20:18, SİA reports, citing Comex, a division of the New York Mercantile Exchange.

In early October, gold prices on the New York Mercantile Exchange exceeded $4,000 per troy ounce for the first time in history. On October 15, the price of December gold futures jumped again, breaking the previous record and rising above $4,200 per troy ounce (31 grams).
