The U.S. Department of Energy has raised its forecast for the average price of Brent crude oil in 2025 from $67.8 to $68.64 per barrel, SİA reports, citing the Energy Information Administration (EIA).
The price of West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude is expected to reach $65 per barrel, up from the previous forecast of $64.16.
The EIA also updated its forecast for 2026, projecting Brent crude at $52.16 per barrel, compared to the previous estimate of $51.43, while WTI is expected to average $48.5, up from $47.77.
In 2024, Brent and WTI crude prices averaged $80.56 and $76.6 per barrel, respectively.
