Azerbaijani Economy Minister Mikayil Jabbarov met with Jinghua Deng, Managing Director of the Silk Road Fund, to discuss avenues for strengthening economic and investment ties between the two countries at the 1st Azerbaijan International Investment Forum in Baku, the Ministry of Economy told SİA.
The meeting focused on prospective projects of mutual interest and partnership opportunities within the framework of the Belt and Road Initiative.
Officials highlighted that collaboration with the Silk Road Fund reinforces Azerbaijan’s status as a reliable partner in international financial platforms. Projects implemented under this cooperation support the diversification of Azerbaijan’s economy, the development of strategic infrastructure, and the attraction of global investment, while also facilitating more active participation in regional and global economic initiatives.
Both sides exchanged views on expanding future cooperation and implementing new investment initiatives, emphasizing the importance of deepening economic ties between Azerbaijan and China.
