Azerbaijan and Türkiye define next steps in energy cooperation

Azerbaijan’s Minister of Energy, Parviz Shahbazov, met with Türkiye’s Minister of Energy and Natural Resources, Alparslan Bayraktar, in Izmir to discuss the future of bilateral energy cooperation, Shahbazov posted about this on his official X page, SİA reports.

"In Izmir, together with Türkiye’s Minister of Energy and Natural Resources, Alparslan Bayraktar, and the accompanying delegations, we held a productive meeting on advancing our cooperation in hydrocarbon and renewable energy projects of bilateral and regional significance. We discussed the creation of infrastructure for electricity exports to Türkiye through various routes. In addition, within the framework of the Forum, we listened to the reports of the working groups on hydrocarbons and petrochemicals, the electricity market, electricity distribution and transmission, regulation, energy efficiency, and mining, and defined the next steps for cooperation in these areas," the post read.
