The opening of the Zangazur corridor is among the strategically important issues against the background of new realities, Azerbaijan’s Prosecutor General Kamran Aliyev said, SİA informs.
Speaking at an international conference titled "National Leader Heydar Aliyev is the author of the Constitution of independent Azerbaijan," held in Lachin, he noted that this project will not only provide a land connection between the main part of Azerbaijan and Nakhchivan, but will also change the transport map of the entire region, making a great contribution to economic and political integration:
"As President Ilham Aliyev emphasized, the Zangazur corridor not only ensures Azerbaijan's national interests, but also has significant importance in terms of international cooperation, trade relations, and global security. Its opening will be another indicator of the practical power of our sovereignty and Azerbaijan's leading position in the region."
