Delta Telekom, one of the main backbone operators providing internet traffic in Azerbaijan, has been subjected to a large-scale DDoS attack, causing interruptions in internet connectivity for users across the country, Azerbaijan's Ministry of Digital Development and Transport told Report.
“As part of the plan to ensure the continuity of internet services in the country, providers were promptly redirected to the networks of alternative backbone operators. Within a short time, users’ access to the internet was restored,” the ministry stated.
The Ministry also emphasized that thanks to the measures taken, the cyberattack on Delta Telekom was successfully repelled in the shortest possible time. Services have been fully restored and are functioning normally.
