Over the past four years, the number of households in Azerbaijan connected to fixed high-speed broadband internet has increased 13-fold, reaching 3 million. This means nationwide coverage with fixed broadband internet has now been achieved.
According to Report, at the closing event of the İnnostart project in Baku, Deputy Minister of Digital Development and Transport Samir Mammadov highlighted the pivotal role of the “Online Azerbaijan” initiative in this achievement:
“This project has equipped all regions of the country with modern technologies for stable and fast internet access, contributing to the shaping of a digital future,” Mammadov said.
The deputy minister added that innovation is becoming a strategic driver of the global economy, creating new jobs, enhancing business efficiency, and attracting investment.
