Pakistan attaches great importance to expanding trade with Azerbaijan through the development of land transport routes, Federal Minister for Privatization, Investment and Communications of Pakistan Abdul Aleem Khan said at a meeting with Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Islamabad Khazar Farhadov, Report informs referring to Pakistani media.
"The activities of the Joint Chamber of Commerce of Pakistan and Azerbaijan are aimed at facilitating trade through land links. Pakistan and Azerbaijan are linked by historical, geographical and religious ties. Pakistan seeks to develop bilateral trade and cooperation," Khan said.
Other issues of mutual interest, as well as the current situation in the region, were also discussed during the meeting. The ambassador of Azerbaijan, in turn, noted that friendly relations between Pakistan and Azerbaijan will continue to develop.
