The Governor of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA), Taleh Kazimov, has appointed Bahruz Balayev as his new advisor, SİA informs, citing the CBA.
Balayev was born in 1983 in Lankaran, graduated from the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan with a bachelor's degree in Political Science in 2005, received a master's degree in Law from St. Thomas University in the United States in 2006, and obtained a Doctor of Juridical Science (JSD) degree from the same university in 2012.
In 2013, he entered Harvard University under the State Program for the education of Azerbaijani youth in foreign countries, and graduated in 2014 with a master's degree in Public Administration. In 2014, by the decision of the Higher Attestation Commission under the President, he received the scientific degree of Doctor of Philosophy in Law.
He began working at the CBA on July 1, 2024, as a consultant in the Chairman's office department.
With the new appointment, the number of advisors to the CBA chairman has reached 5.
