On July 21, on the initiative of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR), a media tour to the SOCAR Carbamide plant was organized on the occasion of the 150th anniversary of the Azerbaijani national press, SİA informs.
During the tour, which was attended by representatives from about thirty media organizations, Ilaha Novruzova, the head of SOCAR's Media, Public Relations and Communications Department, first congratulated the media tour participants on the National Press Day of Azerbaijan.
Novruzova noted that according to the relevant Decree of the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, the 150th anniversary of the national press is being celebrated solemnly in the country. In this regard, she mentioned that a media tour and a celebration event at the SOCAR Carbamide plant were organized on SOCAR's initiative.
After being briefed on safety rules, the media tour participants visited the smart chemistry and open warehouse areas of the SOCAR Carbamide plant, where they received information about the production process implemented using digital technologies.
The plant's chief technologist, Shohrat Mirzayev, and deputy chief metrologist, Ilkin Hajiyev, provided information to media representatives about the plant's general operations, digital transformation project, and work done on automating production processes, along with a relevant presentation.
Afterward, media representatives enjoyed a concert program performed by a mugham trio.
