The European Union is discussing simultaneous introduction of sanctions against Russia with the United States.
"We have discussed how we can implement European sanctions and American sanctions at the same time," President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen told the Politico newspaper.
The EU is currently preparing its eighteenth package of anti-Russian sanctions.
