Educational Seminar held within the framework of the Randox International Quality Assessment Scheme (RIQAS)
On May 29, 2025 an educational seminar based on international experience was held within the framework of the Randox International Quality Assessment Scheme (RIQAS) program, jointly organized by the Scientific-Experimental and Training Center of the Medical Service Department of the State Customs Committee of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Central Customs Hospital, and with the support of “Imago Medical Systems” company. The event was attended by the Chief Physician of the Central Customs Hospital Dr.Bakhtiyar Musayev, Head of the Laboratory Department Sabina Ibrahimova, Marketing Director of Randox Susan Hammond, Business Development Manager Ornella Kim, and Training Specialist Sahil Trikha, laboratory experts, and official guests. Opening the event with a welcoming speech Chief Physician Dr.Bakhtiyar Musayev sincerely greeted the participants and emphasized that the strategic importance of laboratory services in the modern healthcare system, noting that the accurate and timely assessment of patients’ health status, the correct diagnostic decisions, and the determination of effective strategic decisions in healthcare are fundamentally dependent on the quality of laboratory diagnostics. Chief Physician Dr.Bakhtiyar Musayev highlighted that the application of high-tech equipment in the laboratory field and quality control mechanisms based on international standards have a direct impact on the overall quality of medical services. Marketing Director of Randox Susan Hammond, and training specialist Sahil Trikha delivered presentations providing detailed information about the program’s objectives, international practices, and innovative methods used to improve the quality of laboratory services. They also emphasized the significance of the RIQAS system and the prospects for developing cooperation in this area.
The seminar was met with great interest by participants and created broad opportunities for experience exchange among specialists. A group photo was taken at the end of the event.
