Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov received a delegation led by Joshua Huck, Deputy Assistant Secretary in the Bureau of European and Eurasian Affairs at the US Department of State, SİA informs, citing Azerbaijan’s Foreign Ministry.
During the meeting, the parties discussed bilateral and multilateral cooperation issues between Azerbaijan and the US, as well as the current state of the normalization process between Azerbaijan and Armenia.
They highlighted the significance of historical relations between Azerbaijan and the US in certain areas, beneficial cooperation in energy security and several other fields. Additionally, they underscored the importance of developing bilateral relations within the framework of mutual interests.
Moreover, energy projects in the region, plans for alternative energy, prospects for transportation and communication lines, and joint cooperation activities with Central Asia were reviewed at the meeting.
Minister Jeyhun Bayramov informed the other side about the situation in the region in the post-conflict period, the current state and prospects of the peace process between Azerbaijan and Armenia, and existing obstacles.
The meeting also included an exchange of views on regional issues of mutual interest.
