Azerbaijan's Ministry of Defense has strongly denied allegations that its forces opened fire in the direction of the Armenian village of Khaznavar, calling the claims “another instance of disinformation.”
The ministry responded to allegations from Armenian Ministry of Defense, according to which Azerbaijani units fired on Khaznavar between 01:00 and 01:15 a.m. on May 29, causing damage to a residential building.
"The information disseminated by Armenia's Ministry of Defense is false and does not reflect the truth," the statement said. "By spreading such deliberate disinformation and false narratives, the opposite side seeks to mislead international public opinion and create grounds for further provocations."
The ministry emphasized that Azerbaijani forces never target civilians or civilian infrastructure.
