Construction of Aghdam-Asgaran-Khojaly-Khankandi road completed by 72%

The construction of the Aghdam–Asgaran–Khojaly–Khankandi highway, part of road infrastructure projects on the liberated territories, has been completed by 72%.

SİA informs, citing the State Agency of Azerbaijan Automobile Roads, that the road begins from the Barda–Aghdam highway and has a total length of 33.6 km. Currently, earthworks are underway, and the construction of five single- and three-span bridges is ongoing at the 1.6, 4.4, 7.2, 9.6, and 14 km marks of the road.

The Aghdam–Asgaran–Khojaly–Khankandi road will simplify transportation in the region, significantly contribute to the development of agriculture and tourism, and allow drivers from Barda to travel to Khankandi, Shusha, and Lachin, bypassing Aghdam.
