Guloglan Muradli: Simplifying trade, ensuring security - complex process

Azerbaijan's customs authorities should strive to simplify trade while ensuring security, which is a difficult task, Deputy Head of the Main Operational and Investigative Department of the State Customs Committee Guloglan Muradli said at an event on Digital Customs and Media in Baku, Report informs.

He noted that last year, Azerbaijan carried out foreign trade operations with 180 countries, exporting and importing goods under more than 11,000 names.

"During the year, 69,000 legal entities and individuals carried out foreign trade activities. More than 35,000 cases of violation of the law were identified, in connection with which the perpetrators were brought to justice. Among the passengers crossing the customs border, there are many citizens prone to offenses, which primarily affects our security," he added.
