IMF forecasts for Azerbaijan's nominal GDP exceed government expectations
According to forecasts from the International Monetary Fund (IMF), Azerbaijan's nominal GDP is expected to reach $78.87 billion in 2025, reflecting a real growth rate of 3.5%.
According to Report, looking ahead, the country's nominal GDP is projected to grow as follows:

$81.87 billion in 2026, with a real growth of 2.5%.

$85.79 billion in 2027, with a real growth of 2.4%.

$90.33 billion in 2028, with a real growth of 2.4%.

$95.37 billion in 2029, with a real growth of 2.5%.
In terms of the non-oil sector, Azerbaijan’s nominal non-oil GDP is forecasted to reach:

$55.69 billion in 2025 (an annual growth of 10.46%).

$60.35 billion in 2026 (+8.37%).

$64.96 billion in 2027 (+7.64%).
-
$69.90 billion in 2028 (+7.6%).
-
$75.24 billion in 2029 (+7.64%).
For 2025, the Azerbaijani government expects the GDP to be $75.99 billion, reflecting a 3.5% growth. In 2024, the economy grew by 4.1%, reaching $74.29 billion.
At the same time, non-oil and gas GDP experienced growth of 6.2%. However, in January-February 2025, the economic growth rate slowed to 0.2%, with non-oil and gas GDP growing by 1.7%.
