Reducing carbon emissions occupies an important place in Azerbaijan's energy agenda, Azerbaijan's Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov said at the opening ceremony of the 18th Baku Summer Energy School, Report informs.
"If we look at last year's statistics, we will see that almost 75% of our energy resources were supplied to Europe. We continue to implement a significant initiative to ensure diversification and energy security in Europe", Shahbazov noted.
The minister added that Azerbaijan is also working on global energy transition.
Shahbazov also stressed that Azerbaijan has adopted a new socio-economic strategy and one of the priority issues is green development.
