Turkiye's tourism revenues hit record of 32% growth in first quarter

Turkiye's tourism revenues surged 32.3% to $8.69 billion in the first quarter, Turkish Statistical Institute data showed on Friday, maintaining last year's strong trend despite February's devastating earthquakes in the country's south, SIA refers to Turkish media.

In 2022, revenues climbed 53.4% from a year earlier to a record high of $46.28 billion as lingering pandemic effects dissipated and as the Ukraine war fallout drove a surge of Russian arrivals.
