Bahar Muradova: Azerbaijan will not become a platform for experimentation for various internal groups

Azerbaijan's independence begins on June 15, the National Salvation Day, when the great leader Heydar Aliyev came to power for the second time, the vice-speaker of the Azerbaijani Parliament Bahar Muradova said in an interview with the ruling New Azerbaijan Party.

"June 15 - National Salvation Day - is the starting point when Azerbaijan gained independence and achieved its steadfastness and eternity," the vice speaker said.
Muradova said that as of this day of national celebration, Azerbaijan was able to represent itself as an independent state. Muradova added that representing an independent state allowed Heydar Aliyev to prove worldwide that Azerbaijan’s independence is eternal. Today, Azerbaijan is notable for its status as a world and regional power. We are already in the process of joining the developed countries, the vice speaker said.

Muradova added that Heydar Aliyev implemented the most priority tasks in the ten years between 1993 and 2003. During this period, Azerbaijan restored its independence, formed a strong army, mobilized its economic potential, made close partnership with many countries through ongoing economic projects, and has learned to organize various economic initiatives.

Muradova said that no matter how challenging, but Heydar Aliyev was able to cope with problems that arose.

"The result was that the Azerbaijani people clearly accept and protect the ideological and political line defined by Heydar Aliyev, Muradova said." It is reflected in the program and the charter of the ruling party. The people believe in this policy. It is of great importance for the success of Azerbaijan."

Azerbaijan will not become a platform for experimentation for various internal groups, or for foreign forces, which are hampering the development of Azerbaijan, vice-speaker Bahar Muradova said.

"Sometimes the interests of these forces coincide with the interests of forces abroad," Muradova added. "This is so-called ‘international support’. Yes, the opposition's interests coincide with the views and interests of various foreign forces opposed to Azerbaijan’s form of rule. But this testifies to the ability for intervention in the country’s domestic affairs, rather than the fairness of their views."

The fact is that they lack moral authority to lead the Azerbaijani government, the vice speaker said.

"The current situation of these circles and the Azerbaijani people's attitude toward them give reason to think so. The people do not believe them, so their situation is deteriorating day by day. I would like to stress that there is a great discrepancy between their demands and possibilities. They demand more at the expense of others, although they do not deserve this."

"It is very interesting, but these people think that political strength, which once saved Azerbaijan from death and led to many achievements, must abandon power and give way to them," Muradova added. "We invite them to a healthy competition and struggle. Let people express their attitude toward you."
