Azerbaijani ombudsman receives ambassador of Iraq

Azerbajan`s human rights commissioner Elmira Suleymanova met with Iraqi ambassador Heydar Shiye Gubeyshi al-Barrak. Suleymanova praised "friendship" ties between Azerbaijan and Iraq. They discussed various issues of mutual interest, including cooperation on human rights. Suleymanova briefed the diplomat about activities of her office, saying it attaches "big" importance to cooperation with NGOs, international organizations, as well as embassies of foreign countries in Azerbaijan. The Iraqi ambassador said his country is interested in cooperation with Azerbaijan in all spheres, including human rights.
