Robert Simons: “NATO supports the activity of OSCE Minsk group co-chairs in the solution of Nagorno-Karabakh conflict”

"NATO hasn’t been involved directly to the negotiations on the solution of Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. But we support the activity and Alma-Ata declaration of OSCE Minsk group co-chairs". As SIA reports according to the Armenian sources, Robert Simons, NATO special representative on Southern Caucasus and Central Asia spoke about it in press-conference in Iravan. He said that NATO has already conveyed its anxiety about the last incident in the Line of Contact and in this direction supports the solution of conflict within the framework of international norms and territorial integrity: "NATO carries out balanced policy with each 3 countries of Caucasus. Northern Atlantic Alliance supports the activity of OSCE Minsk group co-chairs in the solution of Nagorno-Karabakh conflict". R.Simons spoke also about the conciliators placed in Nagorno-Karabakh: "If it will be necessary OSCE Minsk group co-chairs or conflict sides may address about the placement of conciliators in Nagorno-Karabakh area. But as there is no agreement it is too untimely to spoke about the conciliators".
