Pope Francis to reform marriage annulments

Pope Francis was expected Tuesday to announce reforms to the Roman Catholic Church's procedure for marriage annulments.

The Vatican said on Monday that details of the changes would be unveiled during a news conference in Rome.

No other details were given except to say that the pope has written two letters on the topic titled, "Mitis ludex Dominus Iesus" and "Mitis et misericors Iesus."

The Religion News Service reported that the pope may simplify the process for ending marriages.
