Persons who took an active part in providing the first European Games with communication services, Internet and broadcasting were awarded by the order of Minister of Communications and High Technologies Ali Abbasov. According to the order, a number of employees of Baku 2015 European Games Operating Committee (BEGOC) were awarded honorary diplomas.
Among the awardees were Chief Operating Officer of the BEGOC Simon Clegg, director of business administration Nigar Afandiyeva, Technology Director Adrian Corcoran, Head of Telecommunications Tony Dudley, Senior Manager of Spectrum Management Rod Stubbs, Senior Manager of Mobile Telecommunications Alexis Iliadis, project manager Alexander Sher, Ayaz Jamilov, Murad Azizov, Khagani Abdullayev, Hidayat Agayev and Murad Tahirov.
Employees of the Ministry of Communications and High Technologies (MCHT), associations and enterprises of the ministry who took an active part in providing the first European Games with communication services, Internet, broadcasting and information security were awarded honorary diplomas.
Among those awarded are first Deputy Minister of Communications and High Technologies Iltimas Mammadov, head of telecommunications sector of infrastructure development department of the ministry Nazim Jafarov, deputy director of Baku Telephone Communications Production Association (BTCPA) Ahmad Mehdiyev, chief engineer of State Administration of Radio Frequencies (SARF) Ilham Afandiyev, SARF engineer Shamil Gasimzadeh, chief engineer of Data Processing Center Sahib Najafov, director of Electronic Security Center Faig Farmanov.
For providing the first European Games with telecommunication, Internet and mobile communication services, broadcasting and information security at a high level, and taking into consideration the positive report submitted to the ministry by BEGOC, following associations, enterprises and companies were awarded honorary diplomas:
