Azerbaijan’s cellular operator Azerfon (Nar Mobile trademark) has put on the market new SIM cards and payment cards in accordance with the brand concept Nar Garden and is updating design of its stores.
Speaking at the presentation ceremony of the new logo Nar and brand concept Nar Garden organized for the media, First Deputy Minister of Communications and High Technologies Iltimas Mammadov said that Azerfon is an operator which entered the mobile communication market of Azerbaijan last and its activity in this market was more difficult.
"From the very first days transparent competitive environment was created in the mobile communication market by the Ministry of Communications and High Technologies (MCHT). In this context, like other operators, concessions were also offered to Azerfon. In the early stages, the other two mobile operators helped the new operator take its place in the market. Today, Azerfon can provide better quality services over LTE technology. At present, sustainable networks have been established in the field of fixed, mobile, satellite communication and the fact is that almost all services are available on a phone, the Deputy Minister said.
In turn, Azerfon CEO Kent McKinley said 25 percent increase was recorded on the company’s network last year.
"We are carrying out our core business and development in four directions. These include the upgrading of the network, implementation of tariff policy in accordance with the interest of subscribers, introduction and promotion of innovation, as well as continuous improvement of customer service. I can say with certainty that we have achieved enough success in these areas," said Azerfon CEO.
