A quarter of women working in information technologies (IT) field complain about ‘glass ceiling’ that exists in their industry, and believe that they will never be able to hold a senior position.

Moreover, in a survey conducted by O2, half of the respondents claim that in general the number of female managers in companies is not enough, and two-thirds believe that all key decisions are made by men. Interestingly, many criticize companies for ordinary artificial filling positions of women in order to maintain the visibility of gender equality at work.

O2 in partnership with the British Institute of Professional Development CIPD is engaged in the development of a program, which aims to increase the proportion of women working in the governing board in the field of IT at least 20% by 2020, Computerworld reports.
