An article posted on the website of the Azerbaijan Japan Venture Community has arisen great interest in Japan, said executive manager of the website Shishoh Shinoda.

He thanked the Azerbaijan`s Embassy in Japan and Tokyo-based World Investors TV for the assistance they provided to the website, which was launched in November last year.

"Our Azerbaijani friends help us in getting information about Azerbaijan. We use AzerTAc, Trend agencies, News.az and other websites as well as AzTV as the primary source of information," he said.

Shinoda pointed out that the main aim of the website is to develop relations between Azerbaijan regional leader and Japan, the most developed nation in Asia. According to him, this website will play the role of a bridge between the peoples. Shinoda noted that the website team is trying to educate the Japanese public about Azerbaijan and its successes.

Shinoda said Japan welcomes Azerbaijan`s policy aimed at meeting the world`s energy needs.

"I seemed to meet Dubai during my first visit to Baku. Rapid and modern development caught my attention everywhere. A very modern city seems to spring up from the ancient monuments. It impressed me and the Japanese businessmen who came with me to Azerbaijan.

Unfortunately, we did not have a chance to take a closer look Azerbaijan since the main aim of the November visit was to develop business ties. Nevertheless, what we saw during the week-long visit made us think that Baku is experiencing the boom," he said.

Shinoda said the website also aims to build networking between Azerbaijani and Japanese companies. He wished the website could have more visitors in Azerbaijan too. He went on to say that creation of Azerbaijani and English version of the website would help to increase the number of visitors, which are now 200 per day.
