A press conference titled Caspian Oil & Gas Exhibition Incorporating Refining and Petrochemicals has been held at the Baku Expo Centre.
SIA reports that the press conference was attended by Chairman of the Board of ITE Group PLC Edward Strachan, Project manager of Iteca Caspian LLC Tofig Karimov and Public relations manager at BP-Azerbaijan Tamam Bayatli.
Traditionally opened by President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, the Caspian Oil & Gas is the best-attended oil and gas trade event in Azerbaijan and the Caspian region. The exhibition will last until June 7 in Baku Expo Center and VIP guests of the exhibition include Georgian Energy Minister Kakha Kaladze, the UK Prime Minister's Trade Envoy to Azerbaijan Charles Hendry, State Secretary of Sweden Trade Ministry Gunnar Oom, Secretary General of the Energy Charter Secretariat Urban Rusnák, Turkmen Deputy Minister of Oil Gas Industry and Natural Resources Annageldy Mametyazov and other persons. 386 companies from 28 countries attended the exhibition. General sponsor of the exhibition is State Oil Company of Azerbaijan, gold sponsors – BP-Azerbaijan and Statoil.
