German experience in Fighting Computer Crime studied in Baku

The two-day scientific and practical workshop on the theme "German experience in Fighting Computer Crime" is continuing its work in Baku with joint organizational support of the Forensic Science Center of the Ministry of Justice, public association "Azerbaijan Legal Reforms Support Center"(LRSC) and Foundation for International Legal Cooperation (IRZ) of the German Federal Ministry of Justice.

According to AzerTAc, the goal of the workshop, provided for forensic experts in the field of computer crime, is to study international methodologies and state-of-the-art technologies on the examination of crimes committed in the area of computer technologies and improve professional skills of specialists working in this field and increase their knowledge.

German experts will make speeches at the event, which is attended by employees of the Prosecutor General’s Office of Azerbaijan Republic, Ministries of Justice, Taxes, Communications and Information Technologies, the State Agency for Special Communications and Information Security of the Special State Protection Service, judges and lawyers.

It was noted at the workshop that Azerbaijan pays great attention to information technologies and this field is growing rapidly. Issues on fight against cybercrime are in the spotlight in the country.

Workshop participants are discussing, exchanging views and experiences on the topic.
