The extraordinary meeting was chaired by Martinetti.

Yaksi told the Anadolu Agency (AA) that the IOC's decision led to heated debates within the FILA management.

Martinetti asked members of theFILA Executive Board whether or not they thought he was incompetent. Martinetti later asked for a vote of confidence on him.

After a great majority of the FILA Executive Board members voted that he was incompetent, Martinetti announced that he was resigning and he left the meeting.
