On Saturday, Olympic Sports Centre Serhedchi hosted a match of the 7th round of the group phase of the World Series of Boxing (WSB) between Baku Fires (Azerbaijan) and Desert Hawks (Algeria).
The match ended 5-0 in favour of the Baku Fires. Winners of the matches were Mahammad Gurbanov (54 kg), Albert Salimov (61 kg), Mahammad Nurudzinov (73 kg), Vladimir Cheles (85 kg) and Abdulgadir Abdullayev (over 91 kg). The latter won without a fight since the opponent did not come to the ring.
Another match was held in the 7th round, in which Mexico City Guerreros (Mexico) defeated Condors (Argentina) - 5:0.
