Population of Baku to top 3.6 million by 2030

The population of Big Baku may top 3.6 million people by 2030.

The statement came during the second public hearing 'The plan of regional development of Big Baku' as part of which the concept of boulevard development until 2050 was presented.

In line with the concept, the population minimum will be at least 3,345,282 people and the highest-3,629,362 people. The average indicator on the plan makes 3,517,360 people.

The opening of 500,000 new jobs will be required in the territory of Big Baku by 2030. Thus, 24,500 new jobs will open every year.
